Diving into The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), they discuss whether Andrew Garfield is too handsome to play geeky Peter (among other things about the actor’s take on the character) and how the sci-fi mystery-thriller vibes of this reboot compare to the original trilogy. Speaking of hybrids, the two critics explore how the villainous Lizard’s insidious schemes don’t quite add up. 
Also, there’s the question of the bizarre serendipity in the director’s name…a marketing gimmick, surely?
